Substituting:

v=s˙\begin{aligned} v=\dot{s} \end{aligned}

where s˙=dsdt\dot{s}=\dfrac{ds}{dt} is the trike's velocity in m⋅s−1\mathrm{m}\cdot \mathrm{s}^{-1} into Equation (??) yields:

T=ms˙22.\begin{aligned} T=\dfrac{m\dot{s}^2}{2}. \end{aligned}
